Main Stage Series: TAKE3 - Where Rock Meets Bach

Seamlessly merging hits from The Beatles and the Beach Boys to Bach and Beethoven, TAKE3 lives at the intersection where pop, rock, and classical fusion collide. Described by audience goers as a mini–Trans  Siberian Orchestra experience, the group is known to bring their unmistakable style and infectious joy in music-making to the OAC’s Main Stage.

TAKE3 was created by violinist/vocalist Lindsay Deutsch, Yanni's featured violin soloist, with whom she has toured throughout the world. Joining her on stage are Georgia Bourderionnet on cello and Alexa Constantine on piano, offering a memorable evening filled with alluring intermixing of classical and modern music.

Wisconsin Philharmonic - It's a little-known fact that the original three branches of our nation's Armed Forces -- the United States Army, the Navy, and the U.S. Marine Corps -- were all founded in 1775, a year before the signing of our Declaration of Independence! Come join the expert musicians of the Wisconsin Philharmonic and its devoted, longtime Maestro, for a thrilling and profound program that celebrates this once-in-a-lifetime milestone with some of America's greatest classical music for the occasion.

Bob Lowden's Armed Forces Salute is a boisterous medley of all the nation's service hymns, where we get to salute those members of our audience who are veterans or are currently serving our nation. Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, used immortally in the 1986 movie Platoon, has become our nation's universal hymn to mourn those who have died for our country; and Aaron Copland's wartime masterpiece, his Symphony No.3, will stun you and bring you to your feet, with its magnificent finale based entirely on his FANFARE FOR THE COMMON MAN -- for one hear it here, in the symphonic grandeur that the composer intended!

All taking place on the night before the anniversary of the D-Day Invasion, this promises to be a compact but overwhelming American music experience with the Wisconsin Philharmonic, as we honor the valiant soldiers and sailors our American past, present and future! An event not to be missed in Waukesha County!!
